What It's All About
Try the Fly is a one-day introduction to fly fishing, designed to help you slow down, breathe deep, and discover the joy of learning something new in nature. Set at the peaceful South Elmham Lakes and run in partnership with Strictly Fly Fishing, the day is all about giving beginners a relaxed, hands-on way to experience fly fishing.
No pressure, no jargon, and no equipment needed.
Whether you're coming solo, with friends, or as a family, you’ll be guided by experienced instructors in a small group setting. You’ll learn the basics of casting, how to handle the rod and line, and even have a go at catching your first trout. More than just a course, it’s a chance to reconnect with the outdoors, try something different, and maybe spark a new lifelong hobby.
No experience? No problem. This day is for anyone curious about fly fishing, and especially for those who never thought it was for them!
